I've got my '00 GTP up to 137mph with 4 ppl in the car, a total of somewhere around 700 lbs. IT would of gone some more but i chickened out...I was on a fwy.

I chickened out at 118mph. I don't want that dang ticket.

I'm going to TMS tonight. I'll see what I can get mine up to. Last Sept I got to 105 on the front stretch, I had to back out due to a real bad wheel wobble with my old wheels/tires.

Only way to get on that track is to actually race. And...

i wish they would lower the age limit to drive on the TMS since im not buying beer i dont see why i cant drive on the track. unless last year i missed the truck that follows you around and pull up to your window and takes your drink orders

my 97 SE has the stock PCM so i'm limited to 105. I want to remove the speed limiter and possibly add a new speedometer so i know how fast i'm going past 115mph. anyone else w/ the 115mph speedometer problem?

All the speedos top out at 115 however the HUD reads over waaaaaaaaayyyyyyy over

Any way that i can add a HUD from a GT to my SE? anyone out there know the top speed for an SE w/ the 3.8?

I'd imagine the same as the GT.

And yes you can add a HUD but you'll have to cut the dash.

Is there a "How To:" anywhere on how to install the HUD unit. i'm worried that the SE's computer wont have the sensors/ circuitry to run the HUD unit. Has anyone out there retro-fitted a HUD unit to an SE. any help is greatly appreciated

How about how to retrofit a HUD into a non-equipped 2000 GT?

You'd have to check over at clubgp.com It is possible I believe on all models SE-GTP.

One thing though the windshield might not be compatable.

Cars with the HUDs have a special windshield. Normal windows will cause a double image and make the readout unreadable.

Keep in mind some people have been lucky.

I've gotten my 02' GTP (All stock) up to 121 on the highway before i had to slow down because i was closing in on a car... FAST. I also had 4 others in the car.

An option cheaper than adding HUD and a >$300 windshield... (i think HUD windshields cost more cause of that special layer, otherwise nonHUD windshields run around 250 installed near me)... could be to add a speedometer gauge to a pillar pod or something. I'd recommend spending 200 on one of the growingly popular aeroforce interceptor scan-gauges. You can have 2 readouts on the screen out of around 20 total available (comes with all, theres buttons to scroll through them). Just put mph on top and whatever else you'd like (i recommend KR!) on the bottom.
