Okay guys,

I've started to gather pieces for the exhuast and a thought came into my head. Since I'm going to get the whole exhaust done, from the PEMs to the tips and the CAI & PCM, would it be good/right to put in new O2 sensors (front & back)? The GP already has close to 80K. Thoughts? Ideas?

TIA

Front, yes.
Rear, no.
The only purpose the rear O2 sensor serves is to get a certain reading that would confirm the cat is still there and doing it's job. If the cat is gone, it'll throw a code.
The front will improve performance a bit when a new one is installed, so I've heard. I need to replace mine. I should have done it when I changed plugs and wires. banghead

Not sure if there is a "best".
It's kinda like asking which bolt is best.

I'm goning to stay with OE because it would be the best option. Stay away from from aftermarket O2 senors, like Bosch, because they're crap.

just go to autozone and pick one up. bosch oe equipment and have a 3month warranty on them i believe. i don't see why they are crap. i have never had a problem with them out of the 10 i guess i have replaced for me or others friends.

too me, it's a pain to get too back there where it is at! but i have never really made attempt to get to it.

you could always save some money by getting one of those rear 02 simulators.

Think you may be one out of 10.

O2 sims is another option I have just in case.

The front O2 sensor is easy to get at if you rock the motor forward like when you change the rear plugs.

Plus I do believe that if you have a dealer out them on, they are lifetime warranty parts for the life of the car

The front ox .sensor is very important hence I would use OE replacement ,the rear is useless and you can delete it three different ways, use an aftermarket PCM with the code removed, use a O2 simulator,or the cheapest and the method i use is to spoof the sensor with a 100k resitor at a cost of 50 cents,an added benefit of no rear o2 sensor is a little less exhaust restriction.
