I snapped a few quick pics after the install...had to get out the tripod since I lost the daylight but I like the nite shots anyways.

I striped the corners since I wasnt crazy about that huge clear lens with that equally large orange reflector. I think this looks slightly better but I may trim it down more later.

I'm not taking anymore day shots of the car until I get my grills frown

hot DA** TBat!!! that is FLIPPIN HAWWWTTTT!!! My wife says it looks real nice, but is awaiting day pics for final verdict. I'm gonna be selling my wife on projectors for the next however-so-long-it-takes! I'm kinda torn on whether or not to stripe the corners or not. Either way, SWEET MOD!!!

Havent really driven anywhere after dark yet except for the other night when it was raining and I didnt really notice any bouncing then.

I hope to have the grills very soon and then I can get my calendar pics submitted...no day shots of the car without its grills...makes it look like a toothless old junker. Imight could do a day shot close up of just the lights like the first two nite shots.

well i mean they still bounce somewhat bad when i go over a really bumpy road...but compared to before when they were bouncing WITHOUT going over bumps, these are a dream right now...but i need to do a little better job on the driver side and get my halos wired up!

the fogs are a glow ring, not a halo...they just glow blue after you turn them off for a while...Imay swapthem out for halos later but those lights arent very old and are nice and bright so they gonna stay for awhile.

I wired my halos into the brown wire going to the marker light with some connector ends so they can be removed if required. The ground wires I attached to the header panel with some sheet metal screws.

first a little scotchbrite to rough the surface just abit...then taped up with masking tape and 1/8in striping tape. I shot them with Krylon Fusion but I may give them another coat with NiteShade since some of the edges came off a little rough.

Just to guard against any further suggestions that I be banned from the board for not posting daytime shots of my projector lights, I submit the following for your approval.

I removedthe lights this morning and tried adding the coat of niteshade I had previously mentioned...TAKE NOTE...Niteshade does not play well with other paints! The tint coat immediately crinkled, cracked and gave the worst orange peel effect possible. SO... a complete sand down was in order as well as clean up and restriping the desired design.
This time I gave a generous coating of Krylon Fusion gloss black and allowed that to set for about 15mins. Then with razor knife I peeled off the tape while the paint was still tacky. I then applied a clear coat to preserve the fresh edges. Thankfully the clear coat took away any scratch marks left by the sandpaper so the remaining lens portion looks nice and clear.

I was washing the car but waslosing the light fast so I stopped and grabbed these few shots.

I should be recieving the grills very soon...then I will be happy to get some good full frontal shots.

I bought the lights off eBay...they were about $150 + another $45 shipping. I think the seller was called "racer union"

I always liked the look of the halos but I was put off by the large clear corner and chrome reflector. This was the look I had tried to get away from when I installed the black corners on the car before. Even the so called "black projectors" still had this large clear corner reflector. So the whole idea was to tone down the impact of the large clear corner light and enhance the black effect further...hence the striping and paint. This still keeps me legal in VA and still delivers plenty of light at night.

If you want to try this mod with your lights then dont skimp on low quality masking tape if you want crisp clean lines...and the clearcoat I feel is a must to prevent those paint edges from flaking off later on.
I like the way these turned out so much I am considering taking my tails back off and restriping those with the black paint instead of the niteshade.

Thanks for the props guys thumbsup ...my goal is to eventuallyget the T-Bat show worthy...but still street driveable.

Weather stripping glue comes off quickly, I'm going to cut a fuel hose in half and glue that on when I redo mine. Not sure what will bond rubber to plastic best...

I don't think it would work on anyother color other then black though.

Why not just do the bounce mod?

Looks nice T-Bat. Especially with the striped corners. Something nice to set them aside from the rest of the overly hyped and over rated projectors!

my hood grills are missing since I shipped them off to your buddy Jason to use as a pattern for a matching set...without the hood grills in the car looks like a toothless hag. I'mhoping to be all straight in time to make the calendar deadline...looks like its gonna be close, but the final look should be worth it.

Hey Tbat, you said you used Krylon Fusion gloss black. Did that still allow light to shine through like Niteshades or no?

The Krylon Fusion blocks any light which Is why I used such wide stripe...plus Niteshade will glow red which is not what you want on the front of the car. cool

Because R.S. hutchinson did the bounce mod and he said that it really didnt work. So i put the weather stripping on the bottom and it works like a charm. As far as the glue coming off i dont think it will ever come off.(because when i went back in a redid my passenger light, i needed to pull the old stuff off and man that stuff stuck like cement!!)
