Ok guys when I got the GP the headunit didn't work quite right and I need a way to hook up the subs out of the Monte so I have been looking for an aftermarket headunit. I like the looks of the following Pioneer units I was just wanting some opinions/ reviews on some of Pioneers stuff, anyone have anything good or bad to say about them? If you don't like pioneer can you suggest a headunit by another manufacture in the same price range?

I am not big in Pioneer but have installed alot of them. They seem to be good. I Preferr Sony. But not the one that walmart sales look for a specialty shop. Alpine is also very nice. That is what i am running right now. I am being lazy and haven't installed the sony yet.

Alpine is a lot more "user/driver friendly" I like the ease of use of an alpine over any other major brand. just my $.02 worth

I looked at the Alpines and I am not to crazy about the design and the control layout on them, seems a little akward to me.

Alpine is you basicly pay for the name kinda brand, sony is really good if you get their newest stuff, pioneer you'll deffinaly get most bang for you buck plus they have stuff that will blow both sony and alpine outta the water hah. I have 2 friends who used to work at a car audio shop lol thats how i got the hook up for my 1000 dollar system for only 700 bucks hah. Its good to have conections.

That head unit is sweet man. cheers
