Hey, Has anyone used heat wrap on their stock manifolds and crosspipe?
I was thinking of Port matching the manifolds and then wrapping them, along with the crosspipe. I was going to make sure no oil leaks first ( oil leak to heat wrap= fire).

just get headers and make it easier on your self, but you could get a wrapped cross over, i think that would be the most effective to wrap this if any.

What you mean by ticking? You talking about the noise when the exhaust expands from heat? Or is there a different tick you speak of. I know my sable (shitty car) had a "baby rattle" noise from the flex pipe under acceleration. considered normal from ford, go figure
