hey i was at the Midas car car center and they told me that i should use Premium fuel for my car because i went to them for a question about my car kinda hesitating acceleration, but the RPMs stayed the same when i was pushing the pedal. Will that fuel be ok for my 2002 Grand Prix SE...i have some preformance stuff done...i just dont want to put it in my car without being 100% positive.

What mods do you have done? Premium fuel will not help an acceleration issue.... It will not harm it at all, but at the same time you wont see/feel any gains from it, just waisting your money...

No you dont need to run premium fuel, all you would be doing is waisting your money. Find out what the real problem behind the acceleration issue is

if youre having a hesitation issue i would look for a vacuum leak or possibly a bad plug wire...always check the basics first...then move on to sensors and such.

ok well i just replaced my plugs and wires...then i had Midas car care center put in new wheel bearings....and i was thinking it might be the way they put them in...like my RPMs are fine its just my car will go back and forth for some reason...and yeah so i am trying the STP octaine booster right now with a full tank of regular...so i will see how that works..

Back and forth? Elaborate. I might have an idea of what that is.

I had that problem too...you said you changed your spark plug wires, right? If you didn't, it might be a missfire (correct me if i'm wrong). do you hear a sort of hissing noise like an air leak?

you have any engine codes? or acess to a Scaner?

when it does this hesitation, keep your foot on the gas and press the brake very lightly... this will unlock your Tq converter if the hesitaiton goes away you can get a better idea of the source of the prob.

Also disconnect the battery for atleast 30 min and let the computer reset. its possible you had spark or fuel issues and the computer adjusted to them.... also i would recomend changing your fuel filter if you havent lately.

could be KR issue (93 will help this but need to find the real cause)
could be a worn TQ converter (needs replacing)
could be a MisFire (check grounds and wires and proper gap on the plugs)
