well ive done some research and for the winter it looks like im gonna go with a non drilled 180* tstat but what do i "actually" gain from putting this in ... any power ... benefits ... last post i had about this no one said about benefits ... so please let me know

Actually we did mention benefits. Your car will run cooler which helps to kill any knock that may develop in your engine. This makes it safer for you to drop to a smaller pulley, with other supporting mods of course.

A simple use of the search function and using the FAQ will answer most of the questions that you've been asking.
