I'm going to pickup a 2004 Comp G (Metallic Burnt Orange) on Saturday. It's got about 50k on it and has aftermarket wheels already (black 17" I believe. I will be selling my car with the WS6 hood on it privately. I'm debating weather to leave car stereo, K&N CAI, powerlog and 3" downpipe in it. I am thinking about parting it out (I know I could transfer parts over) but I don't want to say I am too quickly.

I am excited to finally have a supercharged car and I'm sure it will be a lot of fun to drive.

Karl, if you had a galaxy silver car, we could talk.

The CAI is staying in the GT. One of the first mods I want to the comp g if I get it is K&N CAI. I will probably swap out the power log and downpipe from the GT but it is time pending. I talked to the guy where *I MAY* trade it in and we talked 5,000 with the hood on, so I'm thinking that may be a good deal.

Palsut gets dibs on the roof rails since i bought them from him and I think he wants them back. Sorry.

I will keep everyone updated on what I do.

That's correct. I gave him a link of gpona site for picture of 2004-2008 roof rail on pm message. See if he like it or not since it is orange.

Black rails on an orange 04+ would look pretty good. Sucks that you abandoned the top swap idea, oh well. Good luck w/ your purchase.

How much was the car if you don't mind me asking. That orange is the best looking color on those year gp's. Are you going to sell your cd player, i think its a flip out right?

I really don't like the wheels honestly. If you like the big rim look then ya you will like it but I like the smaller look imo.

I thought it was a pretty good question, although the answer was in my pm box (well kind of).

As for the real answer they don't fit as well on the 04's as 97-03 but you can get them to work but won't be as sound of fit as on 97-03.

The guy whose selling it has a wife that I talked to and she influenced the guy to reserve the car for me. They put a sold sign on it and I told em I'd be down Saturday to get it. Guy says paint is flawless and interior is clean as can be. With 50k on it I'd expect maybe one or two flaws but this seems perfect. The shine on the car in the pics is absoutley georgeous and it has everything I want including what the guy said were 17" C7 Rims?

I've never heard of the rims but maybe someone can post up.

Nice, I don't like those wheels but your 18 inch casino rims will look good on them. thumbsup

That is a clean car and I see the current owner have a garage so thats probably why its so clean like that.

The garage isn't a person's house, it is a shop that sells vehicles. That where I'm getting it from.

I think that the 17" wheels look better then stock wheels but are def no replacement for the 18" Summer Casino wheels I got.

The color is the best imo of all the GTP colors. Now I just need to paint blower orange and valve covers orange, like Shaner.

I am getting a 100,000 mile warranty on it (same as my GT) from a dealer near me because when I got the warranty for my GT it paid it self off and then some...im sure it will be the same with the comp G.

You better toss a CAI or even a HAI in there ASAP and let that blower whine!

A real nice car and a good choice for guy like you with minimal mods the 04's can be pretty quick ,really for 5k difference your good because your current car could have easily cost 5k when all said and done with a TS ect. Chico(pops)
