Just wanted to see what plugs and wires everyone is running. Mine need to be replaced and I wanted to know what you guys would recommend to a stock engine that will be getting a CAI and some exhaust mods down the road.

OEM's are the best.
I'm using MSD wires, soley because I got a little red theme going on, and NGK plugs.

I saw some Taylor wires, I am wanting red wires, but have never heard of Taylor, any advice? They sparked my interest also because they are 50 bucks at (i think) PFYC. That price sounds very cheap considering I couldn't find good wires for my Mitsubishi 4 banger for under 70 bucks.

15.7 seems kind of low to me.

I'm getting 23mpg (though mostly highway). I believe I can get 17-19 in the city. I also drive conservatively.

wires might effect your gas milage, but you'd get better gas mileage results by changing your plugs, PCV, fuel filter, air filter, tire pressure, etc.

i just had a recetn oil change, i think they change pcv valve, tire pressure is a good, i dont know about fuel filter, and brand new air intake, plugs prolly are bad tho. what about O2 sensor? could that play a role?

Yes, the front (rear exhaust manifold) O2 sensor controls lean/rich mixture and can help gas milage. They run about $60 for a new one.

The cheapest blue wires are probably the Taylor Spiro-Wire 8mms from Summit. I know they're the cheapest decent wires available. $36 a set for my 3.1

Bitchn GTP:

I've just ordered a set of NGK plug wires for one of my imports. Clubplug.net They are blue and should be pretty damn nice. I didn't look if they made em for your car, but I'm sure they have a set for it.

My other import has a set of blue Moroso wires, I do not recall where I got those.

NGK wires (blue) for $30.92. I searched for a 98 GT on clubplug.net.

Use the drop downs under wire sets to NGK performence. Then it will show a list of part numbers and stock numbers, use the NGK part finder to find the part number for your set of wires for your car.
