Heres what some of you have been waiting all your lives for... lol
http://www.zuulmusic.com/grandprix/novi.mp3 It certainly is nothing impressive... I took the recording in the garage on cold startup (~1400rpms) which you will notice drop down to around 1000rpms (it will finally sit at 800rpm if I let it warm up to 145F).
I set up a pair of omnidirectional flat-response mics in stereo and samples at 48kHz for you.
Since the hood is open and the idle is high, most of what you hear is just air swooshing out of the blowoff/bypass valve.
At 26 seconds, I put my hand over the BOV. At 40 seconds I took the left mic around the back for some exhaust tone. At 49 seconds, the idle has dropped to 1000rpm and I rev it a few times. At 1:21 I turn it off and it chirps goodbye.
Unfortunately the really cool sound from these things is upon load/acceleration (also the bypass closes so that shuts up).
The mechanical noises are mostly due to the cog belt needing replaced (this one has been on for about 8 months... past the 6 month useable life expectancy) and the two cogged pullies needing aligned a little better.
Also my valvetrain is a bit clickity-clackity, ever since passing 90K miles a year ago.
