I told my wife that I wanted to start putting mods on my stock 97 GT. She said "Just find a GTP around the same year for a good price, that would be a lot easier" Holy crap! So if anyone knows of a GTP late 90's around 7k in the Colorado Springs area, please let me know. There was a 98 GTP coupe for 6,400, but it sold yesterday. If you have any info, my email is DORLEYII@msn.com Thanks

stay away from the 97's at least i would say. that year had the most bugs and problems from what you see and read on here. like herc say, just look around and you will find one.

You should have no problem finding one in that price range. Look for a '98 and up.

About the only positive thing I can say about the 97's, is when you get a reprogrammed PCM you don't have to get a case learn, just switch out the little module.

I would say a '00 GTP....... Look at clubgp and see if anyone close to you is selling their GTP.

Well, if anyone cares, I found a dark green 98 GTP sedan. It has a decent exhaust, the u-bend delete and it sounds pretty mean. It also has a HUD and about 89000 miles. I'm picking it up Saturday for 7400 not including the trade in of my 92 Explorer. I'm pretty psyched about having a 97 GT and a 98 GTP. Hurray for me!

I tried to get the wife to buy a GP when she was looking. She said "No, I want a foreign car." She bought a Toyota Avalon, built in Kentucky. ...and she got just a little upset when I told her. I had to explain the whole Toyota/NASCAR thing to her.
