There's oil running down almost the entire length of us car's underside.

Oil is all on the passenger, none on drivers. Doesn't look like it's hitting the exhaust but it may soon if it gets worse.

It's lost 2 quarts in a week.

I'm hoping it's the oil pressure sender cause we get him an oil pressure gauge that we can put there instead.

Any other suggestions as to what this major leak could be from?

What are the chances this could cause a fire if it leaked onto certain components under my car?

It would have to hit the exhaust manifold while hot... which is what the recall is about with faulty valve cover gaskets

Either way, make sure you always have a fire extinguisher in your trunk!

So yeah, oil had broken THROUGH the sender unit, and actually forced its way out the plug.

The sender was just destroyed.

After a few long hours, it has now been replaced with an Autometer mechanical oil pressure gauge in a brand new HUD pod.

And btw, those HUD pods are sexy.
