Any one ever see a hood scoop/ intake vent on top on intake? Near the CAI itself. If so, where can I get one. All types I saw are in middle of hood, and arent really "ram air" if the air flow has to travel backwards. Any ideas? I might work on it myself.

You mean like the older 280Z's? Haven't seen that but that sure would be diferent. However, if you look at the way most of the availabe ram-air hoods are constructed they simply pressurize the air box with the air forced into what ever nostrils the hood has. To be "ram-air" the air doesn't have to flow straight into the intake it only has to be 'rammed' into it.

Just take out your headlight and drive with a flashlight on at night haha . No really that does sound like a kool idea to have a scoop right by the intake i think it would look better if done right then most ram iar hoods you see out now.

Just do this. Instead of a turbo, put your cone intake in this spot. Just watch out for birds or small people, they do not make good cold air. Like this

Like this Isn't that what a filter is for? I can't stop laughing at that photo.

Can you imagine actually driving that?!?!?!?!
And I think that is what a filter is for, so go ahead, hit birds or people.

Like this It has an intercooler AND the turbo is out in the open. Go fig... Could have just put a filter in front of the turbo. Maybe the turbo didn't like the rest of the engine and chose to segregate itself from it.

How about putting a bigger blower on ours that stick out of the hood? A sideways blower, way cool Add a floating dustpan in the back to pick up the transmission pieces too

Now that's funny. I start on that today. He should've used WD 40. Looks like he couldn't get something apart. I am going to start on a forced RAM-Air intake and patent it. Then sell to you turkey's. Just kiddin'. I am going to experiment. Would a 1" opening be ok? say 8" long?
