for starters, is the 3800 that was available in the last gen of F-body the same internally as our engines?...was the f-body engine also called L36?...can the L67 internals be swapped into the f-body block?...just fishing for some engine swap info...like maybe dropping some L67 power into an older RWD platform.

Yes the L36 block was the same for both the F-bodys and W-bodys. Not sure about the intake though. An L67 in RWD set up would either need alot of intake plumbing being as how the TB is at the rear of the motor.

I'm thinking if some older RWD bodies that have a little more room under the hood (remember when you used to be able to see the tranny bellhousing from under the hood?)...if so, a mandrel elbow could point the throttle body towards the left headlight, which would make way for a CAI.
