My friend said that there are clear fuel filter housings that let your see through to the fuel filter. Is this true and if so where can I get one? It would be nice to see when the filter was getting clogged up. I have 67,000 miles on my car and was curious how long ago I was supposed to replace it. I'm gonna do it tomorrow. Thanks

I dont know that they have them for our cars since they are under the car near the left rear seat. Generally they should be replaced every 15K miles. They are only a few bucks so its worth it just to replace it and not worry too much about getting all that you possibly can out of it.

Yeah I once waited 60,000 miles. Stupid idea. We couldn't force compressed air through the filter when I finally pulled it. I can't believe the car ran at all with the old one.

I have seen the glass ones on racing applications. I would advise against this. Even for racing.

Glass breaks.

Broken fuel line = bad.
