I recently bought a 2002 Grand Prix Gt and I want to put a supercharger on it. Is it possible to install the supercharger found on PYFC? And if it is possible how difficult is it to install?

is it possible yes....is it a good idea..HELL NO
it would be cheaper and easer to sell the GT and go buy a GTP.
you would have to change the trans...wireing harness...um...thats just the beginning
ZZPerformance.com has a install kit...it does look promising...but its for low boost aplications

screw the SC, go all out and drop a northstar in your GT. It'd be worth every penny.

northstar is a V8 that is in cadillac engines. I think its a 4.3l but there are a few people that have done it but its very costly. I would love to do it but I dont have the money to put a new engine and trans in my car.

I am very familiar with one GT running a ZZP blower kit with an SSIC. He's running low 13's on DR's(wishing he bought slicks) with a 3.4" pulley, and working with the PT to find 12's. He has many more mods, but it takes quite a bit for a GTP to see low 13's with smaller pulleys so the cost is still big, GTP or not.....He and Zoomer became very acquainted as he acquired the kit before it was available and gave Zoomer feedback as to his likes and dislikes.
He just got done installing the retail kit in another GT, and was pleased with the install. He commented on how fast the car was with just the blower kit.
If you go to ZZP's site and look at the kit....

Scroll down the FAQ's to #20. There is an email address for the guy I'm talking about. If you have any questions, he should be able to answer them for you.

Turbos are a whole different story. Here is a kit for one on 3800performance.com and its pretty ridiculous. Cartuning Turbo Kit. This will allow you to get 425HP to the wheels with some supporting mods. The price Isn't cheap but I've heard that its pretty rediculous. But it would be a lot cheaper if you did just sell the gt and get a gtp.

the Cartuning turbo kit is on the expensive side for sure...but take notice of how complete the kit is and you begin to see the reason for the cost...fuel injectors,PCM, all exhaust pieces including the downpipe, CAI and harness are all there...bolt on this kit and make 300 whp at boost levels that still leave the car very streetable...add more boost and the intercooler and you can make your tranny cry for mercy in pretty short order. I think the Cartuning turbo kit is one of the best bang-for-the-buck mods you put on a GT.

Since you have an 02 I would say the ZZP's ass kit would be your best bang for the buck,it will run you about $1500 if you supply cores,I would have your trans. serviced and evaluated before this upgade though if your trans. is dicey I would say no go but if your healthy you should be good to go.Also the base Cartuning turbo is a nice setup and the same trans. evaluation would apply,a lot will depend on your budjet and were you want to go with your car,if you could be a little more specific as to your ultimate goals I'm sure we could lead you in the right direction rather than give the cliche answer of sell the GT and get a GTP .Chico.

I have to jump in and talk about the centrifugal supercharger.
Here it is new
http://www.zzperformance.com/grand_prix/products1.php?id=244
and here is one with a blowoff added, at a mediocre price
http://www.clubgp.com/newforum/tm.asp?m=...ode=&s=#3188158

As far as installation goes, its probably close to the same or easier than doing the M90 kit.

The CSC definetly sounds the best out of any power adder. If you don't beleive me, come drive mine. My bypass valve changed the light-throttle sound quite a bit too. I've been told it sounds like a jet passing them. devilgrin

A HUGE factor I think is that the CSC is very good on the transmission compared to the other two. M90 and turbo will give you a ton of boost right away. The CSC builds boost with RPMs, so it doesn't bust up the tranny on the low end and launches. Its got one hell of a top end! The M90 is very hard on the tranny, as it gives the highest instant torque.

So I chose CSC because it was a good price when I got it used, and it was the least likely to destroy my transmission. I'm happy I went that route.

Also by looking at the product page you can tell that they have a lot of potential.
