I have a new FWI/RAM intake!
Took me about 4 hours, after eating and doing stuff on the computer at the same time.
Since I have a different TB, I didn't know how to run the JMB intake piping. I also thought of flipping it and extending the IAT wiring, but I thought otherwise. I also used a 3" rubber coupler to the TB (wow what a PITA to get that on a 4" JMB pipe, 3 times). I also tried finding a 4" 90* rubber elbow at hardware stores, but biggest is the 3" I already have, which is like unde $10. Well I went to a plumbing store and found the 4" for $25.62, WOWSERS, big price difference. Then I had to buy the minimum 5' of 4" PVC ( I used all of 3" of that pipe!), I went with thin walled since has little more air flow. I wanted to trim the support brace for the fender, but with limited tools in the garage, I just cut it off and fabbed up some ghetto brace for its place ( I thought of not having one, but going highway speeds I figure it could use some support). I also, long time ago, cut some of the splash gaurd, which now fits perfect for the ram air effect of that filter. The filter is a PowerAdder Spectre, ricer model at local auto store. So now I have a 4" FWI setup!

the finished product looks clean laugh ...may have to get your airbrush buddy to continue the flame pattern down the air tube.

Forget the sheild, he should fab up a little "scoop" behind the filter to help ram more air up there.

Just a piece of sheet metal like the main air dam would work.

Ahhh just don't drive through deep puddles. If your a lil worried about the filter you can get a foam cover to put over the filter to protect it from any debris that might get flung at it. Plus it'll help keep the nasty stuff off the filter.

which then leads to the question: what happened to the splash shield? I'm missing mine on that side as well, and am curious to see what the results are: should I wait and buy the splash shield or would it be ok w/o?
