Don't waste your money on an LSD. For a beefed up trans get these:

Hardened input shaft
Change the gearing (3.29's), which will give you a fresh, strong chain.
Hardened 4th clutch shaft
After market clutches and bands
Stall converter, ZZP sells the 245mm ones

Also, saw this on clubGP the other day.

Weaker than stock, same one wheel burnouts as stock.

FWIW, the fastest 60' belongs to a car running a stock dif. It has the record by a tenth. The fastest 60' w/o wheelie bars belongs to a stock dif. The fastest GT 60' is in a car running a stock dif. The fastest 3800's NA, boosted and M90 all run stock difs.
ZZP runs a stock diff in all their cars. They check the roll pin every so ofter to make sure its fine. The main thing is to have a left wheel spotter so if you're doing a burnout, you can know to abort the burnout if your wheel hooks to save your diff.

That's not what I've heard.... wink

If you want a bullet proof differential you will have to go with a Torque Biasing Diff. Otherwise known as a Quaife, or Torsen Diff. Quaife's are no longer being made, so you will have to find a used one if you want to save a few bucks over a new Torsen diff.

Can you specify, or do you have a link? I was under the impression that even their 9.01 TTGT runs a stock diff

I read somewhere (I think something ZZP posted once) that using a differential fluid squirter really makes the difference in saving it.

i have teh diff squiter and i never have aproblem....if u know how to propperly do a burnout u shouldent have aproblem with a open diff

1.breaktorque hard
2. slowly roll forward a inch or 2
3. stop rolling keep break torquing
4. stop break torqing
5. set the e brake
6. get on teh converter again
7. chop teh throttle
8 burn both tires to shizzzz

this all depends on the codition of your trans and diff , and all of this with teh gear selector in 2

**i hold no liability for any damage you do to your tires or transaxle**

I think I'd want the LSD for piece of mind. Regardless of what zzp runs in their cars, if they are inspecting it after every night at the track that is much different than how often I would be checking mine.

I dont believe they run a stock diff on a 9 sec. car.

And I will take it for no that no linkls are available, and no one runs them

A LSD is the way if can be found!
