I have a 2001 Grand Prix GTP Coupe, and had a two questions.

1. I have heard this car has a factory bose amp. Does anyone have specs on this amp? I just need to know if i can run a 10in 300watt sub i have from this amp, or if i should use my other amp.

2. My HUD only works when it is really hot outside, or sometimes if i bang on the dash it will work. Do i have a loose wire or something like that? Since i live in Denver, it is only really hot for a few months, so i miss seeing the HUD most of the year.

As for the amp, no you cant power a sub with it, its designed to power speakers and speakers alone, not subs. So yes you will need a new amp.

As far as the HUD, you have a loose wire somewhere, and Bobby or someone else will chime in and tell you how to fix it, or give you a link to tell you how.

The HUD issue is prolly the classic, light sensor not soldered very well from the factory...

Solution involves removing the HUD and resoldering the sensor. It's not hard as I've done it once on my car and I actually have to do it again. I belive there's a write-up on it on ClubGP somewhere.
