Should I invest in a scan gauge, or should I put forth money for a Wbody PCM, strut tower bar?

Well since you have no under hood mods a scan gauge is really worthless, except checking DTC's and watching KR.
Go for some suspension mods, if you want a 10 times better tune than that garbage W body PCM come to Eagan.
I tuned someones PCM who had a top-swapped Monte with his "tuned" PCM from the W body store who set it up for a top swap
To say the least he maxxed out the KR values on my PT while the PCM trying to add over 20% fuel.

Save and do a real mod. You're not really going to notice any of those 3.

Might be a little bit closer to come out my way for a tune, if you wanted.

You'll notice the most with a 3.6 and a tune. Go headers at some point too.

Headers and a 3.4 would be best. Save your pennies.

Ben I still dont know why you sold those SD headers from Ebay a while back, that DP costs 1/2 as much.

They knicked the transmission case and I wasn't willing to chip it out the tranny case. I'm sure I would have had many leaks too. Downpipe is easy and if I can run a 3.6 on it i dont see why not.

Because its not optimal. You will PROBABLY be able to run the 3.6 safely, but you could CERTAINLY run more timing using headers instead of just a downpipe.

Absolutely. Personally, I would run without the supercharger belt on until I had a scanner hooked up to make sure KR levels aren't too severe. No sense risking chipping a piston. Every car is different.

No sense risking chipping a piston. Every car is different. I got the ZZP Modular Pulley system. Will that work with stock pulley or will I have to get a 3.8 stock pulley if I want it to work with MPS system? I could probably get a stock size and switch back and forth easiley with alan wrench:D

You'll need an MPS pulley to use on the MPS, stock pulley is a press on.

They do make 3.8" MPS pulleys, though, so you can switch back and forth. I really have to keep advising you against the 3.6, though. You're not really going to notice much and you're going to wish you went with headers and a 3.4.
Don't spend money twice, I have done it too many times already.

Can the catless ZZP Downpipe be used with some headers?
If so once I get tune by jorgs I will ride around with 3.6 when not running it at the track and switch to a 3.4 at track.
Thanks for the heads up but wouldn't I be getting too much knock with a 3.4 with the limited mods I have at the moment? I've heard of ppl going down to 3.5 on comp g's with my mods but not 3.4's (this is assuming I would be getting headers).

no, headers use their own dp.
3.4 would be a stretch with your mods, IMO.

x2 on the 3.4 being a stretch.
If you ran race gas at the track you could probably get away with that 3.4
Hey Zalfrin, would Bens car (04 GTP) be a supported OSID on my PT? I know its labeled under the supported cars, but if I read his PCM would I be able to change/write that bin? Or should I just download a 04 GTP bin from the PT website?

You'll want to grab the supported OSID, reading his current PCM may or may not result in the supported OSID. PT only supports 1 or 2 OSIDs per model/year, whereas there may be half a dozen OSIDs per model/year floating around in the real world.

I'd say deff have one of these guys tune it and you should have kept the headers man. But remember 3.6 on GenV = 3.4. So higher risk of kr.
