Hey I have 01 GTP and it runs fine and smooth but recently, I've been smelling some smokey smell. Not all the time just some time. It doesn't bother me alot since it happens rarely but what is it? Should I take it GM to fix it?

Did you recently have the oil changed? If so, that could be what's causing it. The filter doesn't come off without dumping oil on various mechanical parts. Unless you have the parts covered w/ towels, the oil ends up on the exhaust pipe, giving a odor of oil burning.
If not, check your valve cover gaskets, even though it's new, it could have still started leaking.

It was the cover! It was leaking! You were right!

I gave it to GM and they are fixing it free.

When they asked what car I wanted for a rental for the day I wont have mine, I said, " Cadillac Escalade!" The lady just started laughing at me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She said, "We can give you the same car or lesser value not higher!"

They gave me a 2003 GP SE! It felt weird since I'm used to my GTP. But it wasen't bad I guess.

Now, tho my car is back and running better then ever!!! They said they checked the whole car and they put some indiactor die in it aswell to help see problems later when I come in for a check up. I said, "cool thanks"
