K&N Filter cleaning.

How many miles before I clean my K&N filter in normal city driving? The box said 50,000 but that is crazy. Does anyone just tap out the bugs or large dirt and then re-oil? Any advice would be great.

You can do it as often as you please. I personally dont go by mileage I take a look at it and see how it looks and if all that is required is to "tap out the bugs or large dirt" then thats what I do. The only time I re oil the filter is if I wash the filter. Other wise no worries.

yeah what hercman said. If you have FWI you have to do alot more often!!!
