I bought the injector o-rings for car and got 12 of them. I need your help in telling me where they go.

The part of the injector that comes out of the intake has one o-ring on it, but looks to have a spot for another one though.

Where does the second o-ring go if each injector takes two o-rings? Do you remove the metal clip and pull the injector out of the fuel rail and one goes there too? I took the clip off today, but was worried about pulling the injector out of the fuel rail so I put it back on and thought I would ask first.

on top of the inj, under the port for the fuel rail where the inj plugs in. also, where the inj plugs into the head.

basically there's one on each end. one where the injector goes into the fuel rail and one where it goes into the intake

NYJets: he has a GTP, which means his rail plugs into the heads, as opposed to our cars plugging into the LIM.

Yes, exactly.

It will be a little hard to pull out but it will. When I changed my injectors some of the injectors came out with the o-ring still stuck in the rail.

Thanks, that was what I was thinking, but I didn't want to break something else on this damn car, lol.

Already broke enough with the little vacuum lines being brittle, the rubber tees' and rubber ends breaking!

Major issue was when I broke off the end of the Purge Vapor Solenoid when trying to remove the rear spark plugs. Should have removed it but I didn't and that is what happened. First off, didn't have a clue what it was, so called GM and he told me what he thought it was and it turned out to be right. Nobody has it though. GM might have, but it was going to be $40. Advance thought they had it, but it was the wrong piece. Autozone can get it but it will be the 24th if I order today when it comes in and it was going to be $30. So I ordered on from Rockauto last night and hopefully it will be in by the middle of the week! It was $26 after the 5% off.

AC-Direct.com has it for $20 IRC, but it states that processing can take up to 4 days before it ships so I doubt I would get it this week! If you want to see what I am talking about it, it is AC-Delco part# 214-642. GM's part number is 1997289.

I might try to glue the end back on and get the car up and running until it comes in though!

good luck replacing the o-rings without breaking the hard plastic pieces attached to the injector... I did mine a few monthes ago and ended up breaking 3 or 4 of em. luckily i had a spare set.

Hey did you replace your injector's/have them cleaned/or just get new o-ring's? Reason I ask is I have my engine apart right now and thinking I should have my injector's cleaned while off, and looking for a good place.
Thank's

I was just swapping them around to try and chase a misfire. Or at least that was my intention, but like I said, ended up breaking several so 4/6 are spare used ones I had.
