Time for new speakers? also check ALL the connections, a loose connection can cause that too.... also check the fader on the HU itself, make sure its centered out

I know this is silly to say, and you've probably already checked this...but is the balance off in the HU?

nope. it used to kick on to full volume like a connection is loose, doesn't anymore. just half the volume of all the other speakers. worked great fo over six months with the aftermarket HU.

Might want to run some new wires to that speaker, I know sounds funny but I have a truck that did the same thing and I had to run new wires for one speaker. Give it a shot with just some temporary wires it might just fix it.

hook the drivers door speaker up to the passengers side door on the back of the radio and see if that fixes your problem. if it does, then you probably have a problem with your radio. if it still does it, then you probably have bad wires running to that speaker.
