Hello All GP owners. I am new here and have been reading alot of the discussions. I hope u can help me out.
My GTP sat for a few weeks, I started it and there was noise coming from the charger, put it in gear and the worst noise ever, the engine felt like it was going to die and worse noises from the charger, took it out of gear all was quiet again. So I let it warm up for about 5 min and all was fine again ran it down the road and it acted normal. I have run it again since and everything seems normal.
Anyone help with this?

You mean the supercharger? Is it near the snout (pulley). More than likely its your coupler in the snout. Its a $30 part. Somewhat mechanically inclined take you about two hours. You'll need to get some GM supercharger oil. What does the noise sound like?

So for the slow response, as per the noise it sounded like steel on steel. And yes it was coming from the supercharger. The only thing is that that is a nylon coupler in the cone and it was causing my car to bogg out as soon as I went into gear? Now this only happened the once just wondering if any one else has had this problem.. thought it might be boost dump related?? If not thx for the feed back, I am planing on changin the oil and see whats happening in the cone anyhow. Thx again

Coupler won't cause the car to bog all of a sudden. The coupler failing happens over time and starts with a rattling..... Like marbles inside the snout.
I'd focus on pulleys, or if you have an SES light illuminated it may be an ignition issue.

I wonder... if the coupler is REALLY shot if it could be causing some nasty metal/metal issues in the snout and causing it to load down the engine...
