I have a `97 GP with the factory AM/FM, CD, equalizer radio. The radio station tuner light is burned out and its hard to know what station its on. If the radio is pulled from the dash can the bulb be replaced without disassembling the radio? Also, will the radio become inoperable if its power is disconnected then reconnected?

Does anyone know the process for removing the radio? thanks

Thanks for the help, although I do not know how the radio is removed from the dash. I have looked at the dash bezel , but can not determine what to do

Dash bezel removal

remove the two screws on the bottom under the steering wheel and the rest of the dash bezel just pops out.

Erm, you remove those two screws and the bottom portion under the steering wheel will pull out toward you. Once that is done, all that holds the bezels is clips. Just take your time removing them all.

I did this myself at one time. Although I think one of my solder joint came loose because it started coming on and off when you tapped the LCD and now it has quit working. Time to go in and fix it again I guess.

Why change the blower? If the fan is working on the highest setting all you need to replace is the resistor.

My fan control only works on 3,4 and 5. 1 and 2 do not work, can I just replace the resistor and it will be fixed? I ask because I am taking it to the shop tomorrow morning for this to be fixed and I am unsure if it is under warrenty. How much is this resistor anyways?

Yep just replace the resistor. Fan is still good. Common problem. Not sure on the price.

Resistor $17 at autozone. Thats definetly your only prob. About an hour to do it yourself.
