Chico or anyone try this.
Guy in local club told me to try this, since I just put on my new Gates Belt, 2 yr old gatorback came off today. I was experiencing belt slip, worn on the belt and noticed boost on gauge jumping around.
I am also going to go back to the 3.4 pulley.
But he suggests for a little more belt wrap swapping the #3 pulley with the #9 pulley.
#3 is 3.0" while the #9 is 3.5".

i have never heard of belt slip before you get below a 3.0 pulley. Get a smaller belt

Fred suggested it Corey.
I saw it on the gauge the other day and I see the worn on the belt too.
I went by the specs zzp posted and others did on clubgp about selecting belt sizes.
Doesn't mean it can't happen even though you haven't heard of it.

Would the bigger pulley cause an interference issue with the belt run between the S/C and #8.

its only a .5 bigger pulley, thats why idk if it would work that much, if you have belt slip use the thing that farns came up with lol, that monster looks like it will never slip lol

This does work Herc and others.
It takes a little finaggling, since the pullies are touching. But once the belt is on it moves the pulley 1/2" - 3/4" away from the #8 pulley.
It was tricky, but it works.

Ok never said it wouldn't just questioned the clearances. Now does it provide enough belt wrap to stop the belt slippage?

At that range with only .5 inch increase in hight you might get an extra .25" contact point is it going to help?

Now if those two pulleys were much closer...

Just asking let us know what you find out.

I didn't mean to come off saying your point wasn't thoughtful. I was just commenting that it works as in excitment!
The pulley is actually a bit bigger than the other. I figure it wouldn't hurt to swap em. Plus with a fresh belt and going up in pulley size, I hope that does the trick. Now off to tuning it again.
