With resonator. But no resonator is better then a resonator with holes in it.

i just put a new resonator on, but its still not as loud as i thought it would be, i like a deep rumble you know, but if you know from experiance that resonators are the way to go then ill trust your judgment, lol i just wanted alittle louder sound is all

I have super 40s as well and I really couldn't tell a difference outside the car with or without a resonator. But there is more cabin drone then with a resonator.

As long as you have a full exhaust, and the tip goes passed the end of the bumper, not having the resonator isn't that bad.

I've got 2.5" pipe and one FM Original 40 and there is little drone. But if that tip were not that extra inch or so past the bumper, yeah, it'd drone pretty bad.

Not having a res isn't going to be head-ache inducing. Not having an exhaust past the cat is, however.

If a full resonator is too quiet, check out the dynomax race bullet muffler. I put one on my wife's car after installing a ZZP DP on a already custom 2.5" system. The muffler took just enough bite out. Dynomax's site says 2-4db reduction.
