I take all my exhaust work to a local shop, he welded them on in less than an hour so I'm guessing it was fairly easy.

should i try and remove the old tips by myself? to save money?

HAHA good luck with those tips, ive heard plenty of stories with no luck, go to a shop, then can get them nice and aligned too so ones not hanging by a couple inches.

he took my old tips off with sawzall and welded the new ones on, cost me $60 which given it took him about an hour sounds about right.

I gave up on doing exhaust work myself long ago. If I had a torch and pipe bender/spreader/swell I might consider it but not likely that will happen.
I'd rather pay the money and have it look right than lay on my back all afternoon grunting and cussing.

and 106 for a rear o2 sensor cause he stripped the threads off of it taking it out. awesome

So he is making you pay for the 02 sensor he broke? I don't think so.
And rear 02 is a joke to have anyways.

Yeah I agree with Steve, you shouldn't have to pay for something he broke.

Rear o2 just detects whether the cat is working or not. It's not even needed. Just have him plug the o2 bung. You'll set an SES code but don't worry.

ya, theres NO way i would pay for that. Id be like "dude, you stripped it, your replacing it! Its not like im the one that stripped it trying to take it out!" besides, if worse comes to worse, you buy a new rear 02 from zzp for like $50 and install it yourself!

yea i already paied him but i have to go back because theres this grey goo crap that hardened on the inside of the tip. it came from inside the exaust. so that is his fault and hes goona pay me for my tips if he cant get them clean.
