I am looking to get some new rims for my car. I am looking at 18"s and I work with a guy who can get me american racing rims for cheap.

I currently have the granny rims which I don't understand why GM would put on a GTP.

I am going to keep the granny rims for winter but i want new rims by spring.

I am looking at 18s and I am thinking chrome but I have seen a few of your cars with black rims and they look sweet

So:
here are the rims

http://americanracing.com/wheels/wheels.asp?section=P

My Car:

What offset can I run without upgrades and can I run 18"s without brake upgrades?

What rims do you guys like?

Thanks

They are stock. They're known as the crosslace rims and they're the most unpopular stock rim as far as I've seen.

Ya, the SR is a cool rim but it doesn't come in an 18.

Ok, I still have a question on the rims. How wide are my stock rims. How wide can I go and how does offset work? I guess I want to not just know what rims will work but exactly what version of the rim will work.

This is my first car and I have no idea what I can do with tires and rims on this.

Help me get over my ignorance!

stock rim is 6.5'' and the widest you can go is 9'' i believe. I want to say you want an offset around 35-40. The web site with the rims actually tells you what rims will work. Just look for the "GM FWD" next to the sizing. The bolt pattern is 5x115.

would these rims work, he wants only 350 for them great deal if they work.

yeah.. so i got a set of 18's. 7.5" wide... dont know what the bolt pattern is.. i know that they fit a '93 Cadillac Seville.. cuz that's what i had them on. the pattern on the Caddy was 5x115.. but may fit 5x114.3 if ur willin to give it a shot. we can try one on.. they are pretty much in PERFECT condition.. will definitely need tires.. just lookin for best offers.. LOW BALLERS need not apply.

here is a pic of what they look like.. but not the actual wheel.
please keep in mind.. these things are like $1200 new.. and thats the cheapest i found them.
