Alright, one more question for y'all.

Do I really need premium, like it says on PFYC? Obviously, it'd be better, but it's a lot more expensive.

Yes you do need to run premium, and it's only about $3.00 per tank more than regular unleaded.
It's really not that much more expensive.

you have to run above 91 octane so you can run 92 or 93 whatever you feel like i switch some times depending on location....(92 is at the local getty and 93 is on the highway)....premium is alot but not that much more added up like Austin said

Skimping on the 3$ for a tank of gas isn't worth the headaches that can develop from running to low of an octane.

What might happen? I don't really know what the differences are between the different types of gas.

Please list your car and mods when asking for advice, since your in TX run 93oct. it's cheap insurance for boostad applications the higher the octane the better.Chico.

Stock GTP needs at a minimum 91 octane.

Anything less and your engine will experience knock. The PCM has sensors to detect the knock and once knock is detected the PCM starts to pull timing to prevent the knock. Chances are you'll never notice the knock but now that all of your timing has been retarded your engine is not running at it's optimum and as a result you will burn more fuel requireing you to stop at the gas station more often and buy more fuel over the course of the year and spend more money in the long run then if you just used 91 all the time.
