The supercharger seems to be whining alot louder than usual. I've been told that it is the S/C idler pulley.

If that's what you guys think, then could you lead me in the direction of a new pulley for my stock setup. I don't need anything crazy, or expensive.

Also, what am I going to need to remove/replace a pulley.

Whining as in 'under load and making boost' or whining at idle?

Check your S/C oil first. It might be low and the gears inside might be whining.

At idle and lower to mid speeds while not using any boost.

Get a long screwdriver. With the motor running put one end on the suspected component (careful of the belts)and put the other to your ear. You'll hear exactly whats going on with the part and you'll know for sure which one is making the offending noise.

Yeah, that's what we did and I think that it was pulley #8 on the diagram...the 3" grooved idler pulley.
