But...I just bought new tires. Is it to late to lower my 99GTP? I bought triple tread 225/60r16. Any strut or lowering ideas are appreciated. I need all four.

struts arent the issue. The springs would be the biggest concern, IF your tires were oversized. Since you had bought stock tires for your stock rims, ride height should not be a big concern. IIRC, tire size and suspension drop becomes a concern with anything bigger than 18".

the springs you might be able to order through the store, they have catalogs and that.
But for springs I wouldn't go eibachs. Get some intrax or sprint springs if you want really low or get some SSC's if you want something in the middle but still a good ride.
Like Herc said, you can buy the struts in the store and rent a spring compressor from them but you might need to order the springs off the net.

What is the consensus on lower profile tires on stock rims? I think I am just over analyzing What I have already purchased, but I do not want to lower and look dumb or have scrubbing issues with the stock size tires.

going with smaller tires on stock size rims will throw off your speedometer and create large wheel gaps.
I am lowered with 18" rims with a low offset (38) so they stick out farther than stock and I have no rubbing issues.

intrax are 1.7 sprint are 1.6 SSCs are variable, you can mix and match to get a desired height but the biggest drop is 1.25.
I have 1.25 front and 0.75 rear but they settled to about 1.5 front 1 rear.
I'm also on stock struts, i'll replace em when they go.

I have lower profile on stock rims. I like it except of the gap. I also was able to change the settings in the pcm via tuner for the size difference!

thanks.......so you have traditional which states a raised rear end but is technically even gap correct (just making sure)

yes, I was confused by the description as well as two of them seemed to be the same. I asked Will about it (Will is Overkill) and he explained them to me.
Traditional is even wheel gaps which causes a bit of a raked stance towards the front.

struts are $340 here. If you can find them cheaper then go ahead and save the money.
The whole assembly he sells is everything, brand new and already assembled so you don't have to worry about spring compressors, that might be why it is more expensive.
That is something you might want to ask Will.

I only bought the springs, I kept stock struts and bought the mounts at a parts store locally. He gave free pogo retainers though because I made a large order.

I am still on stock struts 140,000,I know shame on me. I like the GR2 and want to lower a bit I was just worried about my new stock size tires as already mentioned. I sure do like the way they ride(triple treads)compared to my old Wal Mart rubbers.

you'll b fine using stock tires and lowering. Lots of ppl and myself included go back to stock size tire in the winter without putting the stck springs back in.

I have a 3.4 currently.
you're looking at page 2. those are mods to come and provided I don't run into any big snags I should have it done around christmas time.
I have a ported s/c, SBC cam and pacesetters in my basement. I've gotta finish my intercooler setup and fuel rails/injectors before I can put it all in.
I might run a 3.0 and up the timing instead of a 2.8, we'll see. Then it's up to Will for a tune.

4KYB GR2 struts from my local auto Zone $313.30. ZZP has them for $239.99 Eibach springs at A/Z $270.88 for the set.
I did not ask A/Z about the new top plates or the pogo washers.

Aren't KYB AGX's better than GR-2's for lowered cars or was I dreaming that I read that?

i'll get some gr-2's when my stockers go.
AGX's are expensive because they are adjustable.

But for 95% of those on here GR2s with anti pogo washers are just as good as a stock ride hight stock suspension.
