That crazy window on my drivers side went out again after working fine for 2 weeks straight.
Now its stuck in the up position and wont go down ,a 2002 grand prix with 37k miles.

Would you fix the window or let it stay the way it is in the up position??

How much would a dealer charge to fix this window????

You can get the regulator and everything you need to fix it from ebay, or Ed Morad.

Mine acts up occassionally as well. I have replaced both the regulator and the switch. I'm thinking there is a wiring issue in the door it'self.

So would you just leave it alone, or take it to the dealership for repair???

if you dont want it down. then leave it alone.

seems like a personal preference to me.

I myself would take the door apart and fix it

Agree with ordonez; I would fix it myself, rather than take it to the dealer.

Shouldn't be too hard... there's two Torx screws and a bunch of snap in clips holding the door panel on. After that, R&R the old one and you should be golden...

Especially if you ever use a drive-up window for burgers, coffee, the bank, or paying tolls... wink

I believe he said sometime before that it was the rear window on the drivers side... if so... it's not quite as vital wink

Ill probably have to take it in to the dealer, for the past 2 days its been frozen in the up position, what a pain!!!!!!!!!!!

I would try to fix it myself but I would probably make it worse...Probably break the door skin up, I just hope they dont charge me an arm and a leg.......

It's the dealer... they WILL charge you an arm and leg. What's wrong with just a standard mechanic? They're usually much cheaper than the dealer, and they know what they are doing.
