For anyone who has this setup, do you do any prep for winter or rainy seasons?

ie...a box around the cone?

I've heard you dont have to worry about any of those unless you are driving in water that is above the filter. I don't think you have to do anything really.

Seems to be the case, the last week here in Chicago we have gotten crazy rain from those hurricanes, and she's been fine.

Ive just been avoiding any big puddles on the left side.

I wouldn't even really worry about it...Unless you plan on driving into a creek, river, lake or ocean I don't see the need to worry about it.

Let me be the first to say I've had problems driving through large puddles and the engine choking on it and stalling. The cone was down pretty far, but sure wasn't submerged.

I don't have issues with mine, but I avoid anything deeper than surface rain water to the best of my driving ability.

Just avoid water that's deeper then your fog lights and you'll be fine.

As for snow once the snow is above the chin of the car your done you aint going anywhere so don't worry.
