Hey guys, new GP owner here. Wow, do I love this car! My question is..
I am thinking of getting a custom exaust put on (friends owns a muffler shop) and have a CAI on order, do I need a new PCM and Tstat or should the stock suffice? Thanks!

Got a GTP or GT? Honestly, you'll get more out of a 3" downpipe than any exhaust.

GTP. So downpipe is a better buy then exaust eh. Would I need a PCM to keep my KR down, or is the gain small enough I should be safe?
And also, I feel silly asking abit hehe, but you dont need to have a smaller pulley for a PCM do yah, and do they make a large difference?

Kinda doing her a peice at a time, need to pay it off before I get real silly =D One other quick thing heh (sorry if I am being a pain :p ), with a DP, PCM and CAI, which is where I'll prolly stop for now, would I need a 180 tstat and plugs or should I be ok with what I got atm? (Stock Tstat, new set of Delco plugs)

Would the stock Delco ones be alright with the DP, CAI and PCM tho? They are pretty much brand new (week or 2 old, with like 600 km on them :p )

Good deal, thanks again guys =D. Looking good, should be able to do the 3 for under 1000CDN, which is the number I wanted.
The CAI is on order, now for the DP, I see ZZPs with a cat is 179.99, where as pyfc's was alot more, any reason or just better pricing?
And which PCM do you suggest, saying I dont wanna wire in a 'Performance' button?

Ya know, Mods, mayhaps we should have an international currency calculator on this site. We DO have owners from three different countries hangin around...
Fiin, welcome aboard. Chico here is probably one of our most experienced "modifiers". Herc is awesome with maintenance, and has an extensive mod/maintenance website. before anyone else can say it...PICS! this site encourages pics.

Hehehe, cool, yah, pics are on the way, the GF has the camera atm :p I was on a similar site for my Grand Ma (Am), community there prolly saved me 1000+ with help too, always good having a solid knowledge base. Yah, I read some of Hercs stuff, good info in there, saved me buying a bigger tranny cooler, I am a maintence fascist too so that was nice to see :p I'll toss a link for a currency calculator to my link to, help out us folks using funny money

One other question, when I order my PCM, should I tell them I am running a stock S/C pulley? I have been told I would be running really rich due to the fact they are tuned for 3.4-3.25, or should I be safe?

There are some cool things with the ZZP PCM. Raised or speed limiter removed. Shift points and tranny pressure line increase. Some other things but when you mod you definitely want to scan and try tuning the ZZP PCM if you can get someone to help you. They are setup for "everyone" to use so you really need to adjust it once you start throwing in mods via PowerTuner. Before I had mine custom tuned, my gas mileage wasn't so great. Now I have a large increase due to custom tune afterwards. Good Luck.

Yah, I would really prefer to have mine custom written but I cant seem to find anyone in my area who does it. I am gonna look abit more though, or if anyone lives in the east end of Toronto and knows someone, lemme know ;p
Gonna call my exaust guy tomorrow on my D/P then order the PCM, and try that for a little bit at least :p
