Hey guys, i just got some new wheels and tires about 3 weeks ago, and for about 2 weeks now the check tire pressure light has been on, although im not sure exactly when it came on. So i checked the tire pressure and all 4 tires are right on 42 psi. is this too much? i know my old ones sat good at 32.

The tire pressure light comes on when it senses that any of the tires are 8 lbs above or below what they should be set at, and the car has been driven that way for 20 miles. It can be reset by pressing and holding the the yellow button located underneath the steering column for about 5 seconds then releasing. I run my tires at 42 PSI as well and have had no problems.

yea, it will say on the sidewall of the tire what they should be set at. the delphi ABS systems used on the 97s detects rotation speed, if one wheel is spinning more or less than the other it will set the light off, it doesn't actually detect what PSI its at.
