A freind of mine has been having problems with his GTP. We are thinking its the MAF sensor. No Check engine light comes on at all. Stall, sloppy idle. etc. Now the question. Would the MAF be similar to my gt? Prolly not, figured switching and testing with Known good source. If not any of you run around the latest price for a MAF? He wants to bring it to the dealer. Im all for it, its not my money devilgrin But i figured on trying to save him some money.

Have you guys checked out all the vacuum lines? With these cars even a loose battery connection will cause head scratching problems on the engine. Some simple stuff first.

WHen I did the intake on my 3000GT, I took the MAF restrictor out and had the same problems. I had to open it up, put the restrictor back in, and it worked fine.
