Guy on clubgp is willing to sell me his TB spacer for $25 shipped which I think is a pretty good deal. I'll need to buy two new gaskets and the bolts though.

1. Does anyone know where I can buy the bolts? I don't know the thread, length, size, etc.

2. How hard is it to install the TB?

I need to know what I'm getting into before I buy it. Do you just have a couple bolts to remove the M90 and that's it?

There's three studs holding the throttle body onto the supercharger.

piece of cake then?

Should I expect coolant or any fluids to leak out when I remove the s/c? I believe cooland flows through there right, because the gaskets block the coolant according to the description.

You do not remove the s/c, just the throttle body. There is coolant passages through the tb, but I think that the coolant loss is minimal. Just put a rag or something under the tb when you remove it to soak up any that comes out. There are little plugs you can get that block the coolant from the tb, therefore reducing the temp of incoming air because the coolant isn't adding heat to the tb.

Erik,

Cake!
The studs are 6mm, dunno the thread pitch, but you could easily remove the top nut at the autostore to find 3 studs about 2.5" long that will mate up to the nut.
The spacers come with extended studs meant to be used with the original nuts. If you want to use bolts, that's up to you.
The original studs need to be removed, I took mine out with a pair of vice grips.

Thanks clint. I figure I'll go for it....what's another $25 in mods right? wink I hope it makes a noticable difference with KR.

Not sure what I was thinking with the s/c. For some reason I was thinking it was a spacer underneath the s/c. I understand where it goes now. I'm just kind of slow tonight. Too many beers watching basketball on tv.

Well, if that's the case, tell her that if you just don't invite any of your buddies from GP.Net and clubGP and all your other forums that you're on, you could easily afford to heavily mod your GP to your liking!!!! (I'm sure we'll all understand, since it IS for a good cause!) cheers cheers

I like the direction this topic is going...

...but I fear that I may be sleeping on the couch if it continues.

Hey PFYC says that the studs/screws are "M6 x 1mm". Can anyone tell me the length? I'm hoping someone with a spacer could remove a stud, and just measure it in millimeters for me. I'd appreciate it.

No hurry, I won't be installing this for a few weeks.

I measured mine, and they are about 2 1/2" long. They could be about 3/16" shorter and still work, so if you're looking for metric size try somewhere's around 6cm.
Use loctite..... Remember mine when you were looking at it???..... smile
