I installed the Thrasher shift kit on mine...I had to take out the accumulator and add spacers to the pistons and new and stronger 1-2 2-3 springs...My car shifts very crisp and sharp, I love it...maybe you should look into one...at least when you install it, you can check out the accum. etc to see if there's any kind of damage or wear with the springs, or worst of all, the pistons... (I love how the tires chirp when I hit second gear at about 53 mph!!)
