Makes repairs easier. The comapany NRE who we bought our piece of junk gens sets from used innercoolers that were too small. As a result the turbos over heat and the exhaust manifolds would get so hot that they would start sagging from the weight of the exhaust. If caught soon enough the you usually find gaskets blown out and the turbo and manifold are warped and have to be replaced.
