Just wanted to say hey to everyone. cheers First off I have a few questions. I got my 1997 GTP as a daily driver and I am wanting to do just a few bolt ons to help it out. (My other car is a 450 RWHP 98 Z-28) But anyways, I believe I want to do a pulley, CAI, exhaust, and tune. Can you guys point me in the right direction as far as what brands to get, and where to get it from. Thanks.

Zach

ZZperformance is a great vendor for 3800 specific products. A great start to buy/make a CAI (which you can make for under $50 with PVC pipe and a cone filter). Also buying a 3" D/P will free up the exhaust some. You'll need to do these and a few other things like colder plugs and a 180* thermostat before you can drop pulley sizes. Hope that helps, oh and welcome to the site! smile

Thanks man appreciate the help. As far as colder plugs go, something like a NGK TR6? or what? and is there a writeup somewhere on the forum about making a homemade CAI?

Thanks guys. I will just probably make a CAI myself and then go from there. What size pully will be best for me? 3.4?

Supporting mods for a 3.4" pulley:

CAI/FWI
3" D/P & u-bend delete
PCM
180* T-stat (drilled prefered)
1 heat range cooler plugs (copper core prefered)
A scanner is highly recommended in order to monitor the KR that will be introduced with the smaller pulley.

yep, just buy the 3" bolt in, its a direct swap out, make sure you buy new gaskets as well, the 3" off road bolt in will be fine unless your state requires a cat to be on the car
