i was fixing my fan in the car and i found a set of 3 wires that say power drop on them what are thay for and what can i use on

Orange = Hot
Pink = ACC
Black = Ground

Use them!
You can splice your radar detector in with the pink and black then the detector will go on and off with the key. I spliced in a dual port power recepticle. One for the radar detector and the other for my XM. They both turn on and off with the key.

That is freakin sweet! Where EXACTLY is this power drop? How many amps? How many volts? Is this power drop the cigar lighter by the front passenger's left leg?

The power drop is located behind the glove box, as mentioned here . (bottom of page) smile

As mentioned above, it should be 3 wires, black, orange, and pink. They are connected to a connector that is not pluged into anything.
You may ahve to dig for them, but they are there.
I've also heard of another being behind the dash, around the radio area.
